Cisco Exam Policies

My Cisco certs will expire on 1/29/2018 unless I pass another exam before then. You have to re certify every three years or all your hard work accruing these industry certs goes away. I don't have it in me to start over, so I'm in exam prep mode.

Tonight was day 1 of prep.

Gathered my notes, took out my Cisco press text and looked at possible exam dates to see how much study time I can put together between now and then.

Fortunately my wife is very supportive of my career, so studying wont be a problem. However, we have a 3 year old and a 2 month old. Nuff said.

I tend to fail these exams the first time i take them, so I've posted the exam policies, mostly for reference. Mostly, I need this one:

"Candidates who fail an Associate, Professional, or Specialist exam must wait a period of five (5) calendar days, beginning the day after the failed attempt, before they may retest for the same exam."

Since my certs expires on 1/29/2018, I need to ensure i leave enough time for a retake. Headed over to Pearson Vue now to schedule my initial attempt.

I should have been a trust fund baby; much less stressful...
